This is a great looking blue LCD screen with 8 characters and 2 rows.  See the LCD Color Page for examples of how these displays look, with and without the LED backlights.

These can be easily connected to the Arduino as they use a controller compatible with the standard HD44780 parallel interface chipset (datasheet). Interface code is freely available.

There are a number of different options for connecting to your Arduino.

* Connect directly which will require ~11 general I/O pins. More info here

* You can use an with Arduino in 4bit mode which will require 6 i/o pins, as described here.

* Using an optional serial connection board.
